Lost hands is an ongoing project which begins with the simple action of taking a found glove on the street. This is directly related to the act of walking, in this case in the city of Manchester. However, the accumulation of these displaced objects is an attempt to deal with aspects of waste, excess, trauma and disappearing. By stacking the gloves together it creates a unity that also suggests notions of the anonymity. Working from something that was going to be erased is a reflection about our surroundings and commodities.
